Veritas are currently partnering with a range of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across West and North West London. These schools are seeking dedicated and resilient Graduate Teaching Assistants with a background in psychology to take on full-time roles starting as soon as possible.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will act as a positive influence and role model for children and young people, supporting students of all abilities within the classroom. We're looking for candidates who have experience working with children or young people, and who may be considering a future career in education. Experience or knowledge of working with individuals with special educational needs and learning difficulties is highly beneficial. To succeed in this role, you will be empathetic, resilient, and confident in managing behaviour while helping to create a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities of Psycology Graduate Teaching Assistant include:
- Work proactively with students to help them reach their learning goals
- Motivate and encourage students to actively engage with their learning
- Support the creation of a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist teachers with behaviour management, promoting positive behaviour at all times
- Contribute to students' overall learning and development, both academically and personally
Key skills and experience of Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant needed:
- A recent Psychology (or related subject) graduate eager to apply your knowledge in the classroom
- Experience supporting or working with children and young people
- Confident in managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to make a difference every day
- Resilient, patient, and adaptable with a genuine passion for education
