We are looking for an experienced Nursery Chef to join our team and provide high-quality, balanced meals for our little learners!
About the Role:
As our Nursery Chef, you will be responsible for preparing fresh, healthy, and tasty meals that cater to a variety of dietary needs and allergies. You'll play a key role in ensuring that every child enjoys safe, nutritious meals that support their growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Menu Planning & Preparation - Create varied and exciting menus that follow nutritional guidelines for early years.✅ Allergen & Dietary Management - Ensure all meals are tailored to individual needs, including allergies, intolerances, and preferences.✅ Food Safety & Hygiene - Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety, adhering to all relevant regulations.✅ Stock Management - Order and manage kitchen supplies efficiently to minimize waste.✅ Collaboration - Work closely with nursery staff and parents to accommodate children's dietary requirements.
About You:
✔️ Previous experience as a Nursery Chef, School Cook, or similar role✔️ Strong understanding of allergen management and dietary needs✔️ Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate)✔️ Ability to create healthy, child-friendly meals✔️ Organised, efficient, and passionate about providing excellent food
