Position: Teaching Assistant (1:1 Role) Location: Burnley (BB11) Start Date: September 2024 Hours: Part-Time (2 Days a Week)
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team for a 1:1 role with a new student starting in September. This part-time position involves working closely with a child to support their individual learning needs and help them integrate into the school community. The role is for two days a week, with the possibility of additional hours as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to a new student, helping them with their daily learning activities and social integration.
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and document the student's progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Support the child in developing social skills and building confidence within the classroom setting.
- Help with classroom management and organisation.
