Internal Engagement Supervisor Location: Maidstone Start Date: Monday 3rd November 2025 Contract: Fixed term for Term 2 (until 19th December 2025)
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Internal Engagement Supervisor to join our team in Maidstone for Term 2. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people, promoting positive behaviour, and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
Main Responsibilities
Receive and settle pupils referred to the Engagement Room.
Supervise and support pupils to ensure a calm, purposeful working environment.
Liaise with teaching and support staff to coordinate appropriate work for pupils.
Challenge, motivate, and promote the self-esteem and confidence of students.
Communicate effectively with staff to share updates and gather information on pupils.
Work with pupils to identify and address barriers to learning.
Assist in maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning within the Engagement Room.
Apply school policies and procedures consistently.
Maintain a tidy, organised, and positive working space.
Support with behaviour incidents, student interviews, and statement collection when required.
Provide additional support to individual pupils or small groups as needed.
Assist the SEN department with administrative tasks and data collation.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations effectively.
A commitment to promoting positive behaviour and inclusion.
Good organisational and administrative skills.
