Veritas Education is seeking confident and motivated individuals to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Castleford. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education staff looking to gain classroom experience and make a positive impact in local schools.
Role Overview:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support students with their learning and maintain a positive learning environment
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues
Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with young people (e.g. in schools, youth work, tutoring, coaching)
- Is confident managing classroom behaviour and engaging students
- Is flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic about education
- Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
