Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Start Date: January 2027 (or sooner for the right candidate) Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Employer: Veritas Education (on behalf of a partner secondary school)
About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in Bradford to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic PE Teacher for a full-time, long-term role.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful PE department committed to promoting physical wellbeing, participation, and sporting achievement. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop healthy lifestyles, teamwork skills, and confidence through engaging Physical Education lessons.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Promote participation, fitness, and student wellbeing
- Teach a range of sports and physical activities
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and student engagement
- Support extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and sporting events
- Monitor and assess student progress
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and PE department
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for sport
- Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Is committed to encouraging participation and achievement for all students
- Possesses strong communication and organisational skills
- ECTs are encouraged to apply
