Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a talented and passionate Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Burnley area on a full-time maternity cover placement starting in November 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Art Teacher who is committed to inspiring creativity, developing practical artistic skills, and engaging students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will join a supportive department and play a key role in delivering high-quality Art lessons throughout the maternity cover period.
The Role
- Full-time Art Teacher position (5 days per week)
- Maternity cover starting November 2026
- Teaching Art across KS3 and KS4
- Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons
- Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
- Supporting pupils to achieve their full creative potential
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Art within a UK secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- Passion for Art and creative education
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
