Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Start Date: Immediate / September 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Available Employer: Veritas Education (on behalf of partner secondary schools)
About the Role
Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in the Bradford area.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Teaching Assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, and individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
- Deliver pre-set lesson materials and instructions
- Maintain positive behaviour and classroom engagement
- Ensure students remain focused and on task throughout lessons
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student behaviour
- Support the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
- Contribute to a safe and productive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
- Confident managing groups of students in a classroom setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable, professional, and resilient
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Interested in pursuing a career in education (desirable)
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
