The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
- Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement individual learning plans
- Provide one-to-one and small group support in and out of the classroom
- Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and support staff
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs (preferred but not essential)
- Is patient, resilient and nurturing
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Can build positive relationships with students, staff and parents
- Is proactive, adaptable and able to use their own initiative
- Holds a degree or relevant qualification (desirable, not essential)
