The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop essential culinary skills, nutritional understanding and creativity within the kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
- Prepare practical lessons and manage classroom resources effectively.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and a passion for food preparation and nutrition.
- Contribute positively to the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A passion for inspiring young people and raising achievement.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
