???? About the Role
We are seeking a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Blackpool from September. This rewarding role involves providing both 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support strategies within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
???? Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
- Deliver small group interventions to support learning and development
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Help create an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
✅ Requirements
- Experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEN setting
- A strong passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and pupils
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
⭐ Desirable
- Experience supporting SEN pupils (ASD, SEMH, or behavioural needs)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification)
- Understanding of different learning strategies and interventions
