EYFS Teaching Assistant - Level 3 Qualified Location: Wakefield / Kirklees
Are you a dedicated and passionate Level 3 Qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant? Do you want to make a real impact on the development of young children in a nurturing, vibrant environment? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a primary school in the WF1 area of Wakefield, working specifically within their nursery class.
In this role, you'll be a key part of ensuring that children receive the support they need to thrive both academically and socially. It's a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the early development of young learners in a supportive, engaging, and stimulating setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children in the nursery setting, helping with their learning and development according to the EYFS framework.
- Assist in creating a positive, stimulating environment that promotes play, learning, and development.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support, ensuring the individual needs of each child are met.
- Encourage the development of essential social skills, independence, and self-esteem.
- Assist with observing and assessing children's progress, supporting planning and next steps.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and other staff to provide a nurturing and cohesive learning experience.
- Support children's wellbeing, ensuring a safe and caring environment.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
- A genuine passion for working with young children in an EYFS setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working with young children (preferably in a nursery or school setting).
- Solid knowledge of the EYFS framework and how to implement it effectively.
