Are you a nurturing and reliable individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Do you have experience working in a primary school environment, either one-to-one or in small groups?
Veritas Education is currently working with a vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in Islington that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide focused support to pupils with special educational needs.
The Role:
- Working closely with children with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language needs)
- Providing one-to-one support and facilitating access to the curriculum
- Supporting small group interventions across key learning areas
- Collaborating with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored learning strategies
- Helping to manage behaviour positively and encourage pupil engagement
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
- Comfortable working across Early Years, KS1 or KS2 (flexibility is a plus)
- Calm, patient, and committed to inclusive education
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
- A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential
