Job Overview: Supply Teaching With Vertias!

We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teachers to join our team and support schools across Bolton. This role is ideal for qualified teachers who enjoy flexible working and are passionate about delivering high-quality education in a variety of classroom settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups (EYFS, KS1, KS2,) depending on experience and personal preference.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
  • Provide feedback to the regular class teacher on student progress and classroom activities.
  • Adapt quickly to new environments and build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent teaching experience in UK schools (preferred) ECTs are warmly welcomed and encouraged to apply!
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Flexibility and reliability.
  • Desirable Experience:

  • Experience teaching across multiple key stages.
  • Familiarity with a variety of school settings (mainstream, SEN).
  • Ability to deliver engaging lessons with minimal preparation time.

    Experience
    Teaching Experience ECT teachers are welcome to apply. Classroom teaching experience (ideally 1+ years), especially in the relevant key stage or subject. Experience working in different school settings (e.g., primary, secondary, SEN, PRU). Familiarity with UK curriculum (or local curriculum if outside the UK). Experience with lesson planning and delivery, even if minimal.
    Qualifications
    Professional Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. A relevant degree in education or the subject area being taught. DBS check on update service or willingness to get one.
