Job Description:
Veritas Education is working with a dynamic and inclusive primary school in Newham that is seeking a passionate and committed Primary Teacher to join their KS1 team. This is a full-time role, starting ASAP, and is suitable for an experienced teacher looking to develop in a supportive environment.
The school is known for its strong leadership, inclusive ethos, and dedication to supporting both pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN and EAL
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
- Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to pupils and parents
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole school development
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and CPD opportunities
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in a UK primary school (EYFS, KS1 or KS2 considered)
- Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for pupil behaviour
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Desirable:
- Experience working in inner-London schools or diverse communities
- Familiarity with Read Write Inc, White Rose Maths, or other structured schemes
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN or EAL
