Inclusion Coordinator
35 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Term time only + 5 days Temp-to-Perm | Immediate Start Available
A mixed 11-16 secondary school in Middlesbrough is seeking a committed Inclusion Coordinator to support students facing barriers to learning. This role is ideal for someone with a background in pastoral care or student welfare, who can inspire and re-engage young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead targeted interventions for students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
- Collaborate with pastoral, SEN, and external teams to provide holistic support.
- Promote inclusion and wellbeing across the school.
- Monitor student progress and welfare.
- Work in line with DfE standards for pastoral staff, ensuring best practice in safeguarding and behaviour.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in pastoral, welfare, or inclusion roles.
- Experience managing or contributing to alternative provision, behaviour units, or nurture groups.
- Skilled in de-escalation strategies and restorative approaches.
- Empathetic, calm, and solution-focused.
- Able to build trust and motivate disengaged learners.
