Teaching Assistant (Secondary) - Stockton-on-Tees
Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long-term temporary (Term Time Only) Hours: Full-time Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Veritas Education is working with an outstanding and highly supportive 11-16 mixed secondary school in Stockton-on-Tees, seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
This rewarding role involves working 1:1 and with small groups, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and prepare for their GCSE exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support in core subjects
- Assist with behaviour and engagement strategies
- Support students with additional needs, including SEN
- Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with KS3 and KS4 students
- Confident supporting learning in English, Maths or Science
- Patient, resilient, and passionate about education
- DBS on the update service
