SEND Teaching Assistant - Bexley Location: Bexley, London Borough Salary: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience) Job Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (with potential to become permanent) Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you want to make a genuine difference in a child's school experience?
We're hiring. A reputable education agency based in Bexley is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work in one of our fantastic partner schools. You'll be joining a welcoming and supportive team committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEND needs (including ASD, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and SEMH)
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support plans
Use a range of communication strategies and interventions to support learning
Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based or other relevant settings)
A calm, empathetic, and patient approach
Confident using behaviour management strategies
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
