Job Title: Learning Support Assistant Location: Hillingdon Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-time only) Salary: £105 - £125 per day
Are you passionate about supporting young adults with special educational needs? A specialist SEN college in West Drayton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of learners aged 16-25 with EHCPs, helping them develop essential life and work skills in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
The Role: * Support students in small groups and one-to-one settings, adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs. * Assist in planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons that promote independence and personal growth. * Monitor student progress, contribute to learning plans, and participate in regular reviews. * Collaborate with tutors, parents/carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support. * Help manage behaviour positively and maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
Job Requirements: * Experience working with young adults (16+) with special educational needs. * Ideally hold a Level 2 qualification in teaching, tutoring, or support work. * Patient, adaptable, and committed to the development of young people. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable learners.
