SEN Teaching Assistant - Reception Class

Veritas Education is seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a Reception Class at a welcoming primary school in Bolton. This is a temporary role, perfect for someone passionate about early years education and inclusive learning.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN - Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management - Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional development - Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Preferable Experience:
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs - Familiarity with EYFS curriculum and play-based learning - Behaviour management and safeguarding awareness - Use of educational tools such as visual timetables or phonics programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Certificate/Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning - CACHE, NCFE, BTEC or NVQ qualifications in Childcare or Education - SEN-specific training &/or experience (e.g. autism awareness) - Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Training - DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
