Cover Supervisor - Leeds - September Start Flexible or Temp-to-Perm Opportunity Location: Leeds Start Date: September 2025 Salary: up to £130 per day
Veritas Education is working with a secondary school in Leeds to recruit a Cover Supervisor for a September start. This role offers flexibility and the potential to move into a full-time position through a temp-to-perm arrangement.
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll be responsible for managing classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and complete pre-set work. You'll play a key role in supporting learning, maintaining behaviour, and upholding school policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 and potentially Key Stage 5
Deliver lesson plans provided by teaching staff
Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
Manage behaviour in line with school expectations
Ideal Candidate:
Confident managing groups of students
Professional, adaptable, and calm under pressure
Previous classroom experience is essential as you will be looking after classes alone from the start
Interested in a career in education or looking for flexible or full time work in schools

- Experience
- Experience working within a classroom environment on your own as a replacement for the teacher. Preferably educated to degree level with a subject specialism such as English or Maths. At-least three months worth of U.K experience cover supervising in high schools. Experience working with SEND pupils is advantageous but not necessary. Classroom Management. Behavior Management.
- Qualifications
- Educated to G.C.S.E level in Maths Science and English as a minimum. Ideally educated to degree level with a subject specialism.
