About the Role: A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Waltham Forest, East London, is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. You'll play a vital role in supporting students aged 11-16 with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a supportive educational setting before pursuing further training in psychology, mental health, teaching or youth work.

Requirements:
A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject (2:1 or above preferred)
Experience working with children or young people in any capacity (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, care work, youth support)
A genuine interest in SEN, mental health, and inclusive education
Excellent communication skills, patience, and emotional resilience
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Key Responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
Adapting resources and lesson materials with the class teacher
Supporting students' emotional well-being, confidence, and behaviour
Collaborating with SENCo, teachers, and external professionals
Helping to create an inclusive, respectful learning environment
Engaging in training and CPD opportunities offered by the school
