Year 4 Teaching Assistant - One-to-One Support (Mornings Only) Location: Primary School - Morecambe Start Date: September 2025 Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 13:00 (Term Time Only) Agency: Veritas Education
Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to work one-to-one with a Year 4 pupil who uses a wheelchair. This is a mornings-only role in a friendly and inclusive primary school, starting in September on a long term basis ( full academic year). The role is to support and to encouraging the child's independence and mobility within the school environment.
About the Role:
Supporting a Year 4 pupil on a 1:1 basis during the morning session
Encouraging the child's independence and mobility within the school environment
Providing gentle assistance around the classroom and school (no personal care required)
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the pupil can access the full curriculum
Building a positive, consistent relationship to support learning and emotional well-being
Key Information:
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: 08:45 - 13:00, Monday to Friday
Term Time Only
Location: Morecambe
Contract: Ongoing, with potential for long-term placement
About You:
Experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly mobility challenges, is desirable
Calm, reliable, and encouraging personality
Ability to promote independence while offering the right level of support
Team player with strong communication skills
