Job Title: QTS Science Teacher Location: East Lancashire Contract Type: Full-time Start Date: September 2025 (New Academic Year)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Blackburn for the new academic year, starting September 2025. The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspiring students to explore the wonders of the scientific world and develop a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and inquiry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to drive improvement
- Encourage a love for science through innovative teaching practices
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, including science clubs and events
- Foster an inclusive, supportive environment where students are motivated to excel
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for science and helping students develop critical thinking skills
