Job Title: QTS Maths Teacher Location: Blackburn Contract Type: Full-time Start Date: September 2025 (New Academic Year)
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Blackburn for the new academic year, starting September 2025. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to develop a love for mathematics and a solid understanding of key concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support improvement
- Encourage problem-solving, critical thinking, and mathematical reasoning in students
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as Maths clubs or competitions
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment where students feel motivated to achieve their potential
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for Maths and helping students build confidence in the subject
