Description

A supportive and friendly secondary school in Waltham Forest are looking for a History Teacher to join them from March 2025. This is a great opportunity to join a thriving Humanities department, and make a real difference to the students learning. The school has a strong community feel, and work closely with each pupil to help them reach their full potential. Academic excellence is important, but so is developing kind and well rounded students. They are looking for a History Teacher who shares these values. If you are a History Teacher looking to work in a school that values their staff, this could be a great role for you.

The school is a vibrant mixed secondary school, and your role will involve teaching KS3 & KS4. As the school doesn't have a Sixth Form, experience teahcing KS5 isn't required. The school has staff parking, and is located in a well connected part of Walthamstow, boasting good transport links. The school have high staff retention rates, and strongly believe that well looked after, supported staff members make better teachers.

This position is a full time role, running until March 2026 (Maternity Cover).

QTS is required. Due to the nature of this post, ECT's are unfortunately not applicable.
