Here at Veritas Education we are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our vibrant team at a thriving primary school located in the heart of Leeds. As a Year 1 teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring that every child in your care reaches their full potential.
You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum. Lessons must be tailored to meet the diverse needs of the children in your class, ensuring that every child is supported in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that are in line with the national curriculum.
- Tailor teaching strategies to meet the individual learning needs of students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
- Contribute to the school's ethos of continuous improvement, sharing ideas, and best practices with colleagues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Key Stage 1 teacher, with a solid understanding of the Year 1 curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A patient, creative, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- The ability to tailor lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- A commitment to professional development and a passion for making a positive impact on young children's learning.
