We are currently recruiting multiple SEN Teaching Assistants for schools across Preston and Blackpool. These roles are perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with various SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities.
- Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans and adapt materials to meet individual learning requirements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting students' social, emotional, and academic development.
- Help students with personal care tasks, where needed.
- Monitor and report on student progress, working alongside teachers and SENCOs to ensure the best possible support is provided.
- Support students with their behavioural, emotional, and communication needs, using positive reinforcement techniques.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with SEN, either in a school, care, or voluntary setting.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students who require additional support.
- Knowledge of different SEN conditions and strategies to support children's learning and development.
- Ability to adapt to different learning environments and individual student needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
