Position: Full-Time 1:1 Teaching Assistants (x2) Location: Morecambe, Lancashire Start Date: ASAP Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are looking for two dedicated and caring 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team at a thriving school in Morecambe. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the educational experience of children with specific learning needs and are eager to support students on a personal and academic level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to individual students in the classroom setting.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons to ensure full inclusion and engagement.
- Offer emotional and behavioural support to students as needed.
- Help students with personal care, where necessary, to ensure their wellbeing.
- Work closely with the class teacher to track and monitor progress and adapt learning strategies.
- Promote an inclusive, positive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
- Build trusting relationships with students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children, preferably in a 1:1 or SEN setting.
- A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach to working with children.
- An understanding of various learning needs and the strategies to support them.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A positive and proactive attitude towards supporting student achievement.
- A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
