Are you passionate about working with young children and looking to gain diverse experience within the Early Years sector?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Early Years Practitioner to work within a variety of private day nurseries across Leeds. This is a fantastic chance to broaden your experience, working with different age groups and gaining valuable insight into the inner workings of different nurseries, all while choosing your own flexible schedule!
About the Role:
- Work in multiple private day nurseries across Leeds each week, gaining exposure to a wide range of environments and teams.
- Support children across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), creating stimulating and enriching activities that promote learning and development.
- Be part of a dedicated and caring team, helping provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn, play, and grow.
- Gain hands-on experience with children of different ages and abilities, allowing you to develop and enhance your professional skills.
- Enjoy a variety of shifts, with the flexibility to choose your work schedule, allowing you to balance your personal life with your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, following the EYFS framework.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote development in all areas, including communication, physical development, personal, social, and emotional growth.
- Build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents, ensuring excellent communication and support.
- Be adaptable, working in different nurseries and teams to ensure smooth transitions and consistency in care.
- Ensure safeguarding practices are upheld at all times, prioritising the wellbeing and safety of all children.
What You'll Need:
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (e.g. CACHE, BTEC, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Passion for working with children and an understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different settings and with different teams.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children and colleagues.
- A DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) and a commitment to safeguarding.
