About the RoleVeritas Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Bradford area. This is a full-time position beginning in January, where you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
As a key member of the teaching staff, you will take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, delivering, and assessing lessons in line with the national curriculum. You will also contribute to the creative and cultural development of the students by fostering their artistic skills and appreciation for the subject.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality art lessons tailored to Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Assess, record, and report on students' progress in line with school policies.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop the art curriculum and department initiatives.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent evenings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A strong background in teaching Art at secondary level, with experience in KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
- A genuine passion for art and a commitment to fostering creativity in young learners.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
