The RoleWe are looking for a dynamic and dedicated IT Teacher to join our client. As an IT Teacher at an SEMH school, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the individual learning needs of our students. You will inspire and empower young people, helping them build essential IT skills for their future, while also supporting their emotional and social development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging IT lessons that meet the needs of students with SEMH and additional learning needs.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to promote positive learning experiences and outcomes.
- Provide tailored support for students who may require additional assistance, adapting lessons to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
- Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation, confidence, and well-being.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to both students and their families.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, special educational needs coordinators (SENCOs), and other staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Engage with parents and carers to support students' academic and emotional progress.
About YouWe are looking for a teacher who is:
- Qualified: You will hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and have a strong understanding of the curriculum for IT.
- Experienced: Previous experience working in an SEMH or special educational setting is highly desirable, but not essential.
- Passionate: You are dedicated to supporting students with SEMH needs and are committed to making a difference in their lives.
- Flexible: You are adaptable and can tailor your teaching methods to suit the diverse needs of our students.
- Patient & Compassionate: You have a caring, patient approach and can maintain a positive and calm atmosphere, even in challenging situations.
- Organised: You can plan and deliver lessons effectively while managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high standards of learning.
Each candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required. A successful candidate will also provide at least two references from their previous employer/s.
