Speech and Language therapist
Veritas are currently working with one of our partner schools in Doncaster, to help them find a Speech and language therapist, where you well assess, plan and delivery therapy for students with communication barriers and language needs.
The role:
- Help assess the pupils in the class to identify the pupil's speech language and communication needs.
- Develop and implement tailored plans in collaboration with the SEN staff.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students to help improve their communication skills
- Monitor and report and pupils progress, adjusting your plans and therapy to meet the students needs.
- Collaborate with the SENDCO and other teaching staff to ensure all the pupils needs are met seamlessly.
- Engage with parents and carers to provide guidance and training techniques they can use at home.
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified in speech and language therapy.
- Strong understanding of SEN and experience working with children in an educational environment.
- Flexible and committed to a student's wellbeing,
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Skilled in Makaton.

- Clear Enhanced DBS
- Right to work in the UK.
- Photo identification.
- 2 Satisfactory references.
- Police check (if applicable)
- Experience working with children with complex needs.
