An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join the leadership team at a large, successful secondary school in Watford. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the school's financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Ensure financial compliance with statutory regulations and maintain high standards of financial accuracy and integrity
- Lead the finance team, providing guidance, support, and training to finance assistants
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and governing body
- Manage relationships with external auditors, suppliers, and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent finance qualification
- Proven experience in finance management, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
- Proficiency in financial software and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of school finance regulations and procedures (desirable)
