We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant team at multiple schools in Blackburn. The Role:As an HLTA, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to provide high-quality support across the curriculum. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of lessons and helping to create a positive, engaging classroom environment
- Providing targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, including those with additional needs
- Assisting with planning, preparation, and assessment to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning
- Supervising and supporting students during non-teaching times, such as break times and lunch
- Contributing to the overall development and wellbeing of pupils across the school
What We Are Looking For:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent (or significant experience working at HLTA level)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum and learning strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to motivate, support, and inspire children
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting classroom activities
- Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable, but not essential
- A commitment to ensuring that every child is supported to achieve their potential
