About the Role:Veritas are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced Year 4/5 Mixed Class Teacher for a partner school in Hyndburn, starting in January 2025. This role has become available due to a resignation and will run at least until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Our Year 4/5 class has a diverse range of abilities and SEN and the ideal candidate will have proven experience working with children with additional needs. You will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of how to differentiate the curriculum effectively, support SEN pupils, and help all learners reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN.
- Create an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with the SENCo and other staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies and interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and report regularly to parents and senior leadership.
- Ensure that each child receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience teaching Year 4/5 pupils, ideally with SEN experience.
- A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and strategies to support children with additional needs.
- The ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils, parents, and staff.
- A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to ensuring every child succeeds.
- A positive and proactive approach to teaching and behaviour management.
