Veritas Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a dynamic team in a challenging yet rewarding environment in Huddersfield.
About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a love for literature and language among students who may exhibit challenging behaviours. Your innovative teaching methods and strong classroom management skills will be essential in creating a positive learning environment. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to the curriculum.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, employing strategies to engage all students.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Track and monitor student progress using school systems.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to support student development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students, particularly those with challenging behaviours.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with Arbor and Class Charts systems is advantageous.
- Experience in working with students with additional needs or behavioural challenges.
