Are you passionate about theatre and the performing arts? Veritas Education is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join an inspiring school in Wakefield. This is a great opportunity to engage students in the world of drama and help them develop confidence, communication skills, and a love for performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Drama lessons for KS3 and KS4 students, potentially including KS5.
- Teach key aspects of drama, including acting techniques, script analysis, stagecraft, and performance skills.
- Encourage student participation in school plays, productions, and extracurricular drama activities.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Drama exams, supporting their practical and written coursework.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in drama education.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Drama, with experience teaching at the secondary level (KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5).
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for the performing arts and the ability to inspire creativity in students.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
