Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Maths/Science or Core Subject Graduate)
Location: Kensington, London
Are you a recent graduate with a degree in Maths, Science, or another core subject? Are you passionate about supporting students with mild Autism or ADHD? We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our secondary school in Kensington, helping to support the development and success of our students.
In this role, you'll work closely with secondary school students, providing classroom support, with a focus on those who have mild Autism and ADHD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support for secondary students across various subjects, particularly Maths, Science, or other core areas.
- Work closely with students with mild Autism/ADHD, supporting their academic progress and social development.
- Collaborate with teachers to create a positive, inclusive learning environment tailored to individual needs.
- Foster student engagement, helping them develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning.
- Support the overall wellbeing of students, both academically and emotionally.
Ideal Candidate:
- A graduate in Maths, Science, or another core subject.
- Experience working with students in mainstream or SEN settings, particularly those with Autism/ADHD, is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach.
- A team player with a genuine interest in helping students achieve their full potential.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact in a school environment.
