Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Maths/Science or Core Subject Graduate)
Location: Orpington, Bromley
Are you a recent graduate with a background in Maths, Science, or another core subject? Are you passionate about supporting young people as they prepare for their GCSEs? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant secondary school in Orpington, Bromley.
In this role, you'll be working with Year 10 and Year 11 students, providing classroom support, with a focus on those who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Year 10 and 11 students in their GCSE studies, particularly in Maths, Science, or other core subjects.
- Provide tailored assistance to students with EHCPs, ensuring they can fully engage with the curriculum.
- Work alongside teachers to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Help to foster students' academic progress, social development, and confidence.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure that the individual needs of all students are met.
Ideal Candidate:
- A graduate in Maths, Science, or another core subject.
- Experience working with students in a mainstream or SEN setting is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting students' educational journeys.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team, adapting to the diverse needs of students.
