Teaching Assistant - Secondary Mainstream School (Psychology Graduate)
Location: Medway, Kent
Are you a recent graduate in Psychology or a core subject, eager to make a positive impact on young people's education? We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic secondary school, supporting GCSE students, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to students across various subjects, helping them prepare for their GCSEs.
- Work closely with students who have EHCPs, ensuring their individual needs are met within the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Offer guidance and encouragement to students, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Play an active role in supporting the overall welfare and progress of students, both academically and personally.
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in Psychology or a core subject (English, Maths, Science, etc.).
- Passion for working with young people in an educational setting.
- Experience in mainstream education or working with SEN students is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for supporting students from diverse backgrounds and learning abilities.
