As Deputy Room Leader, you will play a key role in supporting both the room and the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the setting. You will help to create an engaging, stimulating, and safe environment where children can learn, develop, and flourish. Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues will be at the heart of your role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Room Leader with the daily running of the room
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
- Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
- Acting as a key person for a group of children
- Completing observations, assessments, and learning journeys
- Supporting and guiding practitioners within the room
- Building strong relationships with parents, children, and colleagues
- Ensuring safeguarding and welfare standards are maintained at all times
Requirements:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting (essential)
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Passionate about providing high-quality childcare and education
