A welcoming and well-resourced specialist setting in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to teach a 6th Form class of students with complex needs and PMLD, delivering highly personalised learning in a supportive environment.
The Role
Lead a small 6th Form class of students with complex needs and PMLD
Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to EHCP outcomes
Work closely with a skilled team of support staff and therapists
Focus on communication, life skills, sensory learning and preparation for adulthood
Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
QTS is essential
Proven experience supporting students with complex needs and PMLD
Strong understanding of personalised learning, sensory approaches and communication strategies (e.g. PECS, Makaton, AAC)
A compassionate, patient and proactive teaching style
Child and Adult DBS (desirable)
