Secondary School
Are you a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor looking for flexible work in a supportive secondary school environment? Our partner schools in Hillingdon are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their supply pool, providing daily and short‑term classroom cover across a range of subjects.
This is a great opportunity if you enjoy variety, thrive in busy settings, and are happy to take on last‑minute bookings - including same‑day requests. We welcome candidates with previous Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or Tutor experience who feel comfortable leading a classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising classes during teacher absences
- Ensuring students stay on task and follow set lesson plans
- Managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Supporting students when needed
- Communicating with teachers and senior staff when required
Person Specification:
- Previous experience working in a secondary school (essential)
- Confident managing behaviour and engaging groups of students
- Flexible, reliable, and able to respond to short‑notice cover
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- A degree or education‑related qualification is beneficial but not essential
Requirements:
- Degree Level Qualifications
- Expereience working in a school setting
- DBS Certificate - Online Update Service
- Satisfactory references covering 2+ Years
