Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week Pay: £90-£100 per day

Veritas Education are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant / Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to work full-time (Monday to Friday) in an Outstanding SEN School in Southport. This role is ideal for someone with experience in SEN or a strong desire to build a career supporting children with additional needs.
The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties).
Support students to access the National Curriculum in a way that meets their individual needs.
Assist with behaviour management, using positive strategies and de-escalation techniques.
Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals.
Monitor pupil progress and contribute to feedback and support planning.
Encourage independence, confidence, and emotional development.
The Ideal Candidate:
Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential).
Is patient, resilient, and empathetic.
Has a positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's education.
Is confident managing challenging behaviour or willing to learn.
Can commit to a full-time, long-term role in Southport.
