Year 3/4 General Teaching Assistant - Lancaster
Full Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm Start Date: Thursday 5th February 2026 - July 2026
A welcoming primary school in Lancaster is seeking a committed and experienced General Teaching Assistant to support between their Year 3 and Year 4 class from Monday 5th February 2026 until the end of the academic year (July 2026).

About the Role
- Supporting teaching and learning in a Year 3 and 4 classrooms
- Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Working closely with the class teacher to enhance learning, deliver small‑group and 1:1 support, and assist with classroom routines
- Contributing to pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Providing adaptable support across core subjects where needed
- Supported throughout the placement by Sarah Maclachlan, Principal Recruitment Consultant at Veritas Education, with over 14 years' experience in the education recruitment sector.
What We're Looking For
The school is seeking a confident, proactive, and experienced Teaching Assistant who will be a true asset to both the teacher and the class.
Essential qualities include:
- Previous experience working as a TA in a primary setting
- Strong understanding of KS2 learning and classroom expectations
- Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils
- A calm, friendly, and professional approach
- Reliability, excellent communication, and strong teamwork skills
