Graduate Cover Supervisor
- Are you a current university student, studying a teaching/education-based course, and want to gain first hand experience covering lessons in schools?
- Have you finished your degree/PGCE/QTS this year and want to get your foot in the door for your first teaching-based position?
- Are you an unqualified teacher looking to gain further experience within secondary and primary schools?
If so, this could be the role for you!
Veritas Education are always on the look out to speak to education or teaching based graduates, looking at gaining firsthand experience in either secondary or primary schools!
A cover supervisors' main responsibilities are…
- Deliver pre-planned work set by the class teacher for the day.
- Manage classroom behaviour and set expectations across all learners.
- Help create an inclusive and controlled learning environment.
- Support children across their learning, helping any students struggling with their work or any learning they are faces challenges with.
- Ensure all work is completed, and any work not completed or started, is followed up with the class teacher, ready for the next day.
