Are you experienced in school caretaking or site management and looking for a flexible, ongoing role? Veritas Education is recruiting Caretakers, Assistant Caretakers, and Site Managers for temporary assignments in schools across Bradford, West Yorkshire.
What we offer
- Full-time hours: Monday to Friday between 6am - 6pm - shift based

Roles and Responsibilities
Assistant Caretaker
- Supporting the main caretaker with daily site duties
- Unlocking and locking the school premises
- Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks
- Assisting with cleaning and ensuring health & safety standards
Caretaker
- Responsible for the security and safety of the school site
- Performing general maintenance and minor repairs
- Managing deliveries and stock of cleaning/maintenance supplies
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
- Liaising with contractors for larger repairs
Site Manager
- Overseeing the entire school site and facilities management
- Planning and supervising maintenance schedules
- Managing budgets for site-related expenses
- Coordinating contractors and ensuring work meets compliance standards
- Leading a team of caretakers and cleaning staff
What we're looking for
- Previous school caretaking experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of health & safety procedures
- Ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
- Candidates on the Update Service preferred, but we welcome applicants willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check
