SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting that caters to a diverse group of pupils with SEMH and associated conditions.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require tailored support to thrive both academically and emotionally. You'll be part of a committed and nurturing team that values empathy, consistency, and a trauma-informed approach.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH and additional needs in a structured and therapeutic environment
- Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to implement individual support plans
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Building trusting relationships with pupils to help them engage in learning
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other associated needs
- A calm, patient and consistent approach
- Team Teach qualification is desirable - training can be provided by our in-house Lead Trainer
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
