Veritas Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated English Teachers to work in a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Bury and the surrounding areas. We have opportunities available for both experienced teachers and ECTs, covering day-to-day supply, short-term placements, and longer-term positions.

The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student achievement.
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Encourage confidence, creativity, and a love of reading and writing amongst students.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders to support pupils' educational development.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
- Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Are passionate about improving outcomes for young people.
- Can adapt quickly to different school environments.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
